Brand strength creates opportunity. It does not automatically create the operating company required to capture it.
Customers may love the product while inventory, margin, systems, leadership, and channel strategy remain fragile. That mismatch can persist for years because loyalty keeps the business moving.
Eventually, complexity catches up. Growth slows, service deteriorates, acquisition costs rise, or the organization loses confidence in what to prioritize next.
Preserving what customers value while rebuilding what the company lacks is the central challenge. The brand should remain distinctive; the business behind it must become disciplined enough to deserve the demand it has earned.
